PvP Towers weren't accessible through the Event History, you always had to visit the specific province on the Continent Map. If you wanted to visit other players you had to enter their city and choose whether you'll motivate and polish, and which building, manually. You also had to collect everything one building a time, it was not possible to do a collection sweep of all buildings. Speaking of productions, those used to expire if you did not collect them on time. This by itself already makes things "easier" now, because it means less time on starting/collecting productions. It's GBs and motivation combined that make it worth it that you choose longer production cycles so that you reap the most benefits. Without GBs, you would have to choose houses/production cycles in production buildings with the shortest time, because that is the best way to benefit there. How exactly are we deciding what's needed and not needed? There are lots of players who spend quite a bit of time on GBs and do not at all partake in GvG, just like many who enjoy GvG but do not necessarily focus on GBs. Great Buildings did also not exist in the very beginnings. Let's ignore the fact that GvG for example is something that was added at a later stage and by that logic we should remove it because it added something new that requires time. On the general topic of time required to do things, I am curious to what time period we're referring to when the game took 'less time to do daily tasks'. Fighting in general might be a key element of the game, but there's clearly still sufficient focus on that - GE was introduced this year, for example. You may find it the most compelling element of FoE, but that does not necessarily make it a "pillar" of the game. It wasn't introduced till February 2014, while the open Beta phase of the game started on April 2012. Click to expand.Which one of the two? If we're "going back to the roots", then GvG should be completely removed.
